Chase Nortons prestigious board of Directors

 

George Marsh, Non-executive ChairmanGeorge Marsh, Non-executive Chairman

George Marsh guides and advises the Board of Chase Norton in developing its business as a leading provider of construction services in the Midlands. 

He also holds responsibilities as the Chair of the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence and the AWM Building Technologies Cluster. In doing so he ensures that Chase Norton is an early adopter of best practice in construction, particularly in the fields of Modern Methods of Construction and skills. 

Prior to joining Chase Norton in 2002, he spent most of his early career with the Galliford Group (now Galliford Try) as Deputy CEO and CEO between 1989 and 2002 having worked his way up from site manager to MD of Galliford & Sons between 1976 and 1989.

 

Alistair Lindsay – Managing DirectorAlistair Lindsay – Managing Director

Alistair Lindsay joined Chase Norton Construction as Managing Director in 2002. He has full responsibility for health and safety, design and build, procurement, aftercare and main operations.

He has excellent knowledge of construction and wide experience across a spectrum of types of buildings, forms of procurement and project size.  Prior to Chase Norton, he was an Associate Director for PCM Limited, Operations Director at Christiani & Nielsen Ltd, a Project Manager for Birse Construction Ltd and worked his way up through Wimpey Construction Ltd from its graduate trainee programme over a period of thirteen years.

 

Bob Gee – Contracts DirectorBob Gee – Contracts Director

Bob has been a member of the Contracts team at Chase Norton for 15 years and is responsible for overall management of the successful delivery of projects to time, cost and quality and in a safe working environment.

He is widely respected for his high standards, strong client relationships and detailed knowledge of building regulations. His previous experience was gained during his long and varied career with Moffat & Sons Ltd.

 

Nigel Turner – Commercial DirectorNigel Turner – Commercial Director

Nigel manages and oversees Chase Norton’s Commercial Department, incorporating quantity surveying, estimating and specialist works.

He has vast experience in this sector and is well known within the industry for his common sense and non-adversarial approach. 

He joined Chase Norton in 1991 as a senior quantity surveyor rising to chief surveyor and then to his present role as commercial director.  Prior to this he held a series of positions in quantity surveying at Moffat Whittall Ltd, Turriff Construction Ltd, Hampton and Sheldon Buildings, Meadway Construction Ltd and DW Parkin Construction Ltd.

 

Mike Geoghegan – Finance DirectorMike Geoghegan – Finance Director

Mike joined as Chase Norton Construction’s Finance Director in 1997 after working for Wilson Bowden Properties Ltd as a Senior Construction Accountant for two years and for Galliford PLC Group of Companies in a range of positions for fourteen years, leaving as divisional Finance Director in 1995. 

His first position was with Sheridan Contractors Limited where he worked as a Financial Accountant rising to Assistant Company Secretary.

 

Rob Spencer – Estimating DirectorRob Spencer – Estimating Director

The latest addition to Chase Norton’s directors, having been promoted in 2005, Rob Spencer has built up over forty years experience in the construction industry both in the UK and abroad. 

He joined Chase Norton as an estimator and has remained with the company since 1994. Prior to this, over a period of 19 years, he held a series of roles including Commercial Manager in Australia, after working in the UK for over twenty years in similar fields.
